Debz brings the energy, power, voice and look to the show. She has been
performing on the circuit for a number of years and impersonating Debbie
for over 8 years and has a great deal of experience on the live circuit.
She has worked with the likes of Will Young, Blue, G4, Lemar, Liberty X, Slade, Roy Wood, The Searchers, Showaddywaddy, TNT, plus performances
for Rick Wakeman (Yes), the cast of Eastenders and The Bill. You may
also catch her vocals on radio and TV ads. She also featured in the
official UK chart in 2004. Plus you may also spot her in the background
on Welsh soap Pobol y Cwm! She has also worked with top EMI producer
Mike Myers and done studio work with legend Original Merseybeat Tony.
Her CV is certainly lengthy and she is clearly a true professional.
Paying her tribute to one of the strongest woman in music, she has paid
detailed attention to every movement, every word, and voice to
create her impersonation to be as close as she can to the real thing!
Introduced to Debbie by her older brother in the 80’s, she always loved
Blondie and decided to put the tribute together after constantly being
told ‘you sound just like Debbie Harry!’ - and Atomic Blondie were
born! She will getcha... one way or another!

Not content with being
musical director, drummer/percussionist
Derek Bisset lends his considerable ability and power to this
already formidable line up. A real professional, his track
record is highly impressive (& interminably lengthy!). With such
an accomplished musician in charge along with Debz, the
inevitable result is the UK's premier Blondie Tribute Band.
Derek is also one of South Wales' most sought after drum
teachers! His lively and entertaining performance makes his own
tribute to the lively drummer Clem Burke a match made in heaven!

Bassist Paul Guy has attained a
level of competence that ideally suits this ace tribute band.
With his roots now firmly in the Cardiff area his consistently
solid backing has enabled AB to confidently produce the unique
feel of the Blondie line. His attention to detail is very
impressive and his professionalism and dedication means he has
been a founder member of AB. His passion for music is clear -
you wait 'til you hear the bass solo in Atomic! Now with his own fan club too!
Not to be Missed. |

Aled, one of our original members, is proud to be a part of AB's talented team of musicians.
Every performer adopts a style and technique that is invariably drawn from familiarity with that of a mentor/idol, in Aled Williams' case this is undoubtedly Mark
Knopfler. His style is perfect for the Blondie tribute band and this young man's ability to recreate the lead guitar work in Blondie is beyond compare. Aled studied
Music at the Academy of Contemporary Music and is a highly sought after Guitar Teacher in south Wales. All the band have studied Blondie in great detail to recreate
'the next best thing'. Fans both male & female are always more then impressed by his talent and are always blown away!

Introducing the
newest (and youngest!) member - Aidan is a self
taught singer/songwriter who loves what he does and enjoys the
challenges that playing in Atomic Blondie gives him as an
instrumentalist. He has been singing and playing the piano since
the age of 13 and has also taught himself other instruments
including the guitar and drums. A musician with very broad
taste, Aidan takes in and absorbs all the best bits of music
from across the genres and plays the part of Blondie's legendary
keyboard player/backing vocalist Jimmy Destri like a true pro
re-creating those famous solos in Call Me and Tide is High like
he caught them the first time around!

Guitarist
Alex has been playing guitar since the age of 7 and performing since the age
of 11. From rock to blues to jazz and beyond, Alex has proven to be a
versatile and experienced musician, and is constantly seeking out new ways
around his instrument and pushing himself to learn new things. Currently he
is completing a jazz guitar degree in Cardiff at The Royal Welsh College of
Music & Drama (although secretly a 'rocker' too!). He has also studied with
some of the most renowned American jazz guitarists in the world. He has a
passion for all genres of 'real' music and takes pride in his thorough
approach to capturing the sound of Blondie and his other favourite
guitarists, including Hendrix, Wes Montgomery and David Knopfler. |
