Based in the UK (Cardiff, S.Wales) an explosive tribute to Blondie! LIVE BAND! Celebrating over 30 years of Blondie and their induction into the rock'n'roll hall of fame in 2006! No other female fronted band has ever beaten Blondie with their string of hits and success! Blondie emerged as the great pop icons of the late '70s new wave punk scene by defying easy categorization. They scored their first major hits with reggae, rock/disco and hip-hop songs. They wrote great rock hooks and brilliant ironic lyrics. They had the hippest clothes and the coolest hair – blonde bombshell Debbie went from the pages of Punk magazine to being on the cover of just about every mainstream publication on the news stands! This year also see's the 30th Anniversary of Parallel Lines and Blondie doing a world tour which hits the UK in the summer!
ATOMIC has performed all over the UK and Europe and has also had the pleasure of featuring on tour with the legendary 'SLADE' and with 'ROY WOOD' (Wizard/The Move) on regular basis plus dates with 'SHOWADDYWADDY'. Our own Debz has had the pleasure of performing for top musician and member of 'Yes' RICK WAKEMAN plus an event for the cast of BBC1's EASTENDERS (to name a few!). Atomic consist of professional dedicated musicians and are Not to be missed!
'The Players'
Debz
Lead Vocals. Re-creating the look and sound of the fantastic Debbie Harry - Debz brings the energy, power, voice and look to the show. Debz has been performing on the circuit for a number of years but after being constantly told how she sounded just like Debbie, she decided to do something about it!! And Atomic Blondie were born!!! Debz has worked with the likes of Will Young, Blue, G4, to Slade, The Searchers, TNT plus performances for Rick Wakeman (Yes) and the cast of Eastenders. Her CV is certainly lengthy! She is clearly a true professional! She will getcha.....one way or another!!!!!
Derek Bisset
Not content with being Musical director and band leader, drummer / percussionist Derek Bisset, lends his considerable ability & power to this already formidable line up. A real professional, his track record is highly impressive (& interminably lengthy!) with such an accomplished musician in charge the inevitable result is the UK's premier 'Blondie' tribute show. He certainly gives Clem Burke a run for his money!!! Check out his own Myspace via our top friends!
Dave Sargeant
Lead Guitar and backing vocals. Every performer adopts a style & technique that invariably is drawn from familiarity with that of a mentor/idol. Daves guitar playing always leaves the audience breathetaken! Recreating those excelent guitar rifts made famous by Blondies Chris Stein - You will be blown away!!!
Paul Guy
Bass Guitar. After an extensive apprenticeship in clubs, ocean lines & massage parlours, bassist Paul Guy has attained a level of competence that ideally suits a Blondie tribute band. With his roots now firmly in the Cardiff area his consistently solid backing has enabled 'Atomic Blondie' to confidently produce the unique feel of the 'Blondie' line. Just wait till you hear the bass solo of Atomic!
Gary Foreman
Keyboards and Backing Vocals. Ex Baptist minister and occasional single malt expert, Gary Foreman. Former fifth member of the 'Temperence Seven' (the other two drank!), he assures us that his enviable career has mainly been 'Balls', but 'other venues' as well. His ability to reproduce exactly the 'Blondie' keyboard parts is uncanny.

Our 2008 spring tour starts next Friday 1st Feb at the St Davids Hall in CARDIFF.
Our show will feature music from 'Dark Side Of The Moon', 'Wish You Were Here', 'The Wall', 'The Division Bell' plus special performances of the iconic Pink Floyd tracks 'Atom Heart Mother' and 'Echoes'.
